CAMPAIGN NEWS

A PROVEN RECORD OF SERVICE . . .

December 18, 2015, Marcus W. Williams, Esq. For N.C. Attorney General Campaign Announcement

I was blessed to be born and raised in North Carolina to a family with six siblings and two responsible, great parents. In those days, a profound love of family, acceptance of personal responsibility and a recognition of community values were instilled at the core of our existence. We, quite simply, took care of each other.

Something has happened in North Carolina and it is being reflected by what is transpiring these days in Raleigh. It appears the sense of community has eroded and correspondingly many have lost compassion. In such an environment, the fair and objective enforcement of the prevailing laws becomes most paramount to achieve true justice.

I worked and studied hard to become a lawyer so that I could promote justice, protect and uplift the people of my community. For over 36 years I have served Regional and Statewide communities in the provision of high quality legal services in a diverse range of both civil and criminal matters. The clients were the indigents, the working poor, the elderly, children and the disabled. Through several community economic development initiatives we were able to address the collateral needs of the middle class by enhancing the development of small businesses, the construction of new housing units and the creative renovation of historic facilities.

Recently, the capable incumbent decided not to continue in the Office of Attorney General for North Carolina. Therefore, I am herein announcing that I have filed to fulfill the responsibilities of that Public Office. Please refer to my website to garner the specific details of my qualifications: WilliamsForNCAttorneyGeneral.com

Now, more than ever, there is a need in North Carolina for a firm, compassionate, objective and impartial administrator and fighter for Justice For All citizens. If elected, I will be that type of dedicated Public Servant. Further, I will be unfazed by high dollar and special interests as we undertake our duties in the Department Of Justice. Please join me in this journey. I humbly ask for your prayers, support and your vote.

Thank YOU.
