He has an excellent, proven record of more than 36 years of dedicated public service and advocacy in assisting the economically disadvantaged, the working poor and middle class families in both civil and criminal matters. Marcus W. Williams is the only N.C. Attorney General candidate, for example, who has hands-on, legal experience in representing families to save their homes and their farms from foreclosure.

Marcus W. Williams would present a genuine, fresh commitment and new vision for change and a strong voice which will reflect North Carolina core values. He is a lifelong Democrat with an eloquent independent voice.

His thoughtful, cheerful and energetic demeanor undergirds his signature manner of treating each person with dignity, equality and compassion. Marcus has consistently demonstrated that a strong commitment to the principles embodied in the applicable law is indispensable to the attainment of justice in any factual scenario or political dilemma. This former CEO/Executive Director of the Statewide Legal Services Program in Pennsylvania (then the 5th largest state in the nation), along with two Regional Legal Services programs in North Carolina, will utilize demonstrated supervisory skills to lead and motivate the professional staff at the Department of Justice. His diverse and extensive criminal and civil experience will enable the Department of Justice to protect and serve the legal interests of the citizens of North Carolina, the ninth largest state in our Nation, with the highest quality legal representation.
